
Guwahati, 01 October (HS): Assam Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma on Thursday urged people to come forward voluntarily to donate blood, stressing the importance of blood donation in saving lives.
In a social media post marking National Voluntary Blood Donation Day, Sarma said the need for blood donation is widely understood in the present time. He called upon people to embrace the message of “blood donation is a great donation” and participate in the noble cause of serving humanity.
The Chief Minister said that a single drop of blood donated by an eligible person could bring new hope to the life of a patient in need.
He urged all those who are medically eligible and healthy to voluntarily donate blood and become part of the life-saving effort.-----------
