Guwahati, 01 October (HS): At least 8,000 Suspected Yaba Tablets Worth ₹1 Crore Seized In Cachar last night. Two accused have been arrested with the narcotics. Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Thursday informed that the Cachar Police had seized the suspected Yaba tablets and apprehended two persons in the district in an operation.

In a social media post, Sarma said the seizure was made at Bidyaratanpur based on specific intelligence input. He commended the Assam Police for its continued efforts against the illegal drug trade.

“Catch me if you can? Cachar Police already did,” the Chief Minister said in his post, while highlighting the seizure and arrests.
