
Doda, 07 January (H.S.): MLA Doda West, Shakti Raj Parihar today laid foundation stone of the PMGSY road project from Bari to Sewat via Kamlari in Doda West constituency sanctioned at a cost of Rs 21 crore.
MLA who visited Bari village of Marmat Mandal in the constituency said this was a long pending demand of the people of the area and with laying the foundation stone of the road this demand has been fulfilled.
The road project is expected to significantly improve connectivity for the residents of Bari, Sewat, Kamlari, and adjoining areas, ensuring better access to essential services such as healthcare, education, and markets. The project will also play a vital role in boosting local economic activities and strengthening rural infrastructure.
Addressing the gathering, the MLA emphasized that improving road connectivity in remote and hilly areas remains a top priority. He stated that projects under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) are transforming rural life by providing reliable and all-weather roads to far-flung villages.
Local residents, public representatives, and officials from the concerned departments were present during the visit and expressed appreciation for the commencement of the long-awaited road project.
Shakti Parihar said construction of road network reflects the continued commitment to infrastructure-led development and inclusive growth in Doda West constituency.
