Kathua, 07 January (H.S.): An encounter broke out between terrorists and the Special Operations Group (SOG) of the police in Kamadh Nullah Kathua district on Wednesday.

A top police officer said that the Security forces launched a cordon and search operation in the area following specific inputs about the presence of terrorists.

Firing was exchanged after the terrorists opened fire on the security personnel, he said.
