Drug Peddler arrested with Poppy Straw a Police team of Police Station Chenani

led by SHO, Raghuvir Singh while performing routine traffic checking at Nakka

Motor Shed, national highway Chenani Innova Car number PB 01A-9651 coming from

Srinagar towards Udhampur was stopped for checking the driver identified as Gurpreet

Singh son of Harjinder Singh of Kotha Guru, Bathinda, Punjab.

During

the search of the vehicle, total of 17.035 kg of poppy straw was recovered from

the Dickey of the vehicle.

The

driver failed to provide any satisfactory explanation for the possession of the

contraband, FIR No. 02/2026 U/S 8/15 NDPS Act has been registered at Police

Station Chenani. Further investigation is in progress.
