Kolkata, 07 January (H.S.): Bharatiya Janata Party's IT cell chief Amit Malviya on Wednesday shared a post on the social media platform 'X', levelling serious allegations against the Mamata Banerjee government in West Bengal. He termed the incident of vandalism of Kali and Saraswati idols in Shantipur as another brutal attack on Sanatan Dharma.

In his post, Amit Malviya claimed that approximately 50-60 idols of Kali and Saraswati, kept outside the workshop of potter Jayanta Das near Matlagarh in Shantipur, Nadia district, were brutally damaged by anti-social elements. He said that these idols were prepared for worship and were vandalized by miscreants in the morning, which is not only an attack on Hindu faith but also a direct blow to the livelihood of the artisans.

Amit Malviya alleged that this incident is part of a series of increasing incidents of anti-Hindu violence in Trinamool Congress-ruled Bengal. He cited the incidents of beheading of the idol of Maa Kali in Sarshuna, damage to the Jagaddhatri idol in Mandirbazar, and now the vandalism of Saraswati idols in Shantipur.

He targeted Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, alleging that radical elements are being protected under her rule, while the police remain silent spectators. Amit Malviya claimed that temples are being targeted and idols are being vandalized in West Bengal, which is allegedly linked to vote bank politics.

At the end of the post, Amit Malviya said that the Hindus of Bengal have now awakened and are outraged. He claimed that justice will be served in 2026, Sanatan Dharma will emerge stronger, and the end of the Trinamool Congress's rule is certain.

However, no reaction from the Trinamool Congress was received regarding Amit Malviya's post till the time of filing this news.
