Siliguri, 06 January (H.S.): The body of a missing man was found hanging from a tree in the Chunabhati area of Phulbari in Tuesday morning. The deceased has been identified as Mohammed Khadem (56), a resident of the Chunabhati area of Phulbari No. 2 Gram Panchayat, under Dabgram-Phulbari assembly constituency. Mohammed Khadem was a taxi driver by profession.

Mohammed Khadem had been missing since Monday night. After a thorough search throughout the night, his body was found hanging from a tree near his house on Tuesday morning. On information the police from NJP police station arrived at the scene, took the body into custody, and sent it to North Bengal Medical College and Hospital for post-mortem. The police have launched an investigation into the matter.
