Bhubaneswar, 06 January (H.S.) : The Odisha government has extended eligibility for the Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test (OTET) under Category–II to candidates who have completed a two-year B.Ed (Special Education) course.
The School and Mass Education Department announced the decision through a post on social media on Tuesday. Earlier, only candidates holding a one-year B.Ed (Special Education) qualification were eligible to appear for the examination.
The move is expected to benefit a larger number of aspiring teachers trained in special education and help strengthen inclusive education in the state. Further details regarding the implementation of the revised eligibility criteria are likely to be notified by the department in due course.
