On Tuesday, she shared a post on the social media platform X, remembering the great magician who gave Indian magic a new identity in India and around the world.

In her message, the Chief Minister said that P.C. Sorcar Sr., through his extraordinary art, hard work, and creativity, not only elevated magic beyond mere entertainment but also established it as a respected art form. He brought glory to Indian culture on the international stage.

Mamata Banerjee also said that P.C. Sorcar Sr.'s contribution will continue to inspire future generations, and his name will forever remain immortal in the world of magic.
