
Kolkata, 04 January (H.S.): West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee paid heartfelt tribute to the legendary Bollywood music composer Rahul Dev Burman (R.D. Burman) on his death anniversary on Sunday. The Chief Minister shared a post on the social media platform X, stating that Rahul Dev Burman will always be remembered for his unforgettable tunes and songs.
In her message, Mamata Banerjee wrote that R.D. Burman was a pillar of Indian music, whose compositions continue to live on in the hearts of music lovers. She said that his melodies transcend the boundaries of time and will continue to inspire future generations.
The Chief Minister also mentioned that Rahul Dev Burman gave a new identity to Hindi film music and his songs are still listened to with the same freshness today. Paying tribute, she said that his contribution to the world of music can never be forgotten.
