Guwahati, 4 January (HS): The Gauhati High Court is set to be relocated to the historically significant Rang Mahal complex in North Guwahati, marking a major development in the city’s judicial infrastructure.

The foundation stone for the new premises will be laid on January 11. Supreme Court Judge Justice Surya Kant will be present at the ceremony, lending significance to the landmark event.

The relocation to Rang Mahal, a site of rich historical importance, is expected to blend heritage with modern judicial facilities, while also easing infrastructural constraints faced by the High Court at its current location.----------
