Lucknow,
03 Jan (HS): On Saturday, Samajwadi Party leader Ravidas Mehrotra reiterated
the statements of Jannayak Janta Party founder member Ajay Singh Chautala,
adding that the country is seeing conditions comparable to those that have
resulted in large upheavals in other surrounding countries.
Mehrotra
claimed that popular discontent was developing as a result of unemployment,
inflation, and poverty, while those in authority remained unconcerned about
people's suffering. He encouraged youngsters to take to the streets, as
happened in Nepal. People in India's bordering nations, Nepal, Sri Lanka, and
Bangladesh, have ousted their governments via protest. A same situation happens
in India, with people dying from hunger, poverty, inflation, and unemployment,
and those in charge disregarding these issues. Like a result, he suggested that
the country's young go to the streets, like they did in Nepal, and oust those
in power through mass protests.
Earlier,
former MP Ajay Chautala sparked outrage with his words, calling on young people
to take to the streets against the incumbent administration. Sri Lanka's youth
overthrew the government and brought about a power shift. The Bangladeshi youth
compelled them to leave the country. Nepal's young not only ejected them from
power, but also pursued and battered them on the streets. Chautala stated that
we need comparable young people here as well.
