New Delhi, 02 January (H.S.): After facing a continuous decline for three consecutive days, gold prices in the domestic bullion market witnessed an upward trend today. However, silver prices continued their downward trajectory. Due to the fresh rise, spot gold became costlier by ₹170 to ₹190 per 10 grams in most parts of the country.

Following today’s increase, 24-carat gold was traded between ₹1,35,070 and ₹1,35,220 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold ranged from ₹1,23,810 to ₹1,23,960 per 10 grams in several major bullion markets.

In contrast, silver prices saw a notable drop in the national capital. Owing to a decline of ₹1,000 per kilogram, silver was sold at ₹2,37,900 per kg in Delhi’s bullion market today.In Delhi, 24-carat gold was priced at ₹1,35,220 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold stood at ₹1,23,960 per 10 grams. In Mumbai, gold traded at similar levels, with 24-carat at ₹1,35,070 per 10 grams and 22-carat at ₹1,23,810 per 10 grams.In Ahmedabad, the retail price of 24-carat gold was recorded at ₹1,35,120 per 10 grams, whereas 22-carat gold was sold for ₹1,23,860 per 10 grams.

Similar rates were also observed in Chennai and Kolkata, where 24-carat gold traded at ₹1,35,070 per 10 grams and 22-carat gold at ₹1,23,810 per 10 grams.Further north, Bhopal recorded 24-carat gold at ₹1,35,120 per 10 grams and 22-carat gold at ₹1,23,860 per 10 grams. In Lucknow, gold prices mirrored those of Delhi, with 24-carat quoted at ₹1,35,220 per 10 grams and 22-carat at ₹1,23,960 per 10 grams. Patna markets remained similar to Ahmedabad, with 24-carat gold at ₹1,35,120 and 22-carat gold at ₹1,23,860 per 10 grams.

Meanwhile, Jaipur too recorded 24-carat gold at ₹1,35,220 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold traded at ₹1,23,960 per 10 grams.Similar upward trends were seen in the bullion markets of Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Bhubaneswar, where 24-carat gold was priced around ₹1,35,070 per 10 grams and 22-carat gold at approximately ₹1,23,810 per 10 grams.

Despite the rebound in gold, silver’s continuous decline kept investors cautious, reflecting ongoing volatility in the precious metals segment at the start of the new year.
