New Delhi, 16 January (H.S.): The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will elect its new national president on January 20, with the party formally announcing the election process on Friday as part of its organizational celebrations.
Nominations commence Monday, January 19, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the party's central office on 6-A, Deen Dayal Upadhyay Marg, followed immediately by scrutiny until 5:00 PM and withdrawal window until 6:00 PM. Rajya Sabha MP and National Election Officer Dr. K. Laxman outlined the timeline: the national election panel list publishes today at noon, a press statement follows nominations at 6:30 PM, and—if required—voting occurs Tuesday from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM before the official declaration.
The streamlined process, succeeding JP Nadda's tenure, anticipates acting president Nitin Nabin's elevation amid internal consensus, culminating the organizational elections across states.
