Guwahati, 15 January (HS): The Assam Pradesh Bharatiya Janata Party on Thursday strongly condemned the Congress for allegedly attempting to disturb Assam’s social harmony by circulating a fabricated AI-generated image showing the BJP Assam Pradesh headquarters, Atal Bihari Vajpayee Bhawan, in flames.

State BJP President and MP Dilip Saikia said the act reflected Congress’ “vile and ignoble mindset” and accused the party, led by Gaurav Gogoi, of deliberately inciting unrest and anarchy. He termed the incident an assault on Assam’s peace-loving culture and accused Congress of consistently resorting to chaos for political survival.

Saikia further alleged that Congress has a history of making provocative remarks and supporting divisive elements, claiming the party’s shrinking political base in Assam has pushed it towards appeasement politics at the cost of Assamese unity and identity.-----------
