Guwahati, 15 January (HS): Culture Minister Bimal Bora on Thursday said the grand Bagurumba ‘Dahau’, to be held on January 17 at Sarusajai in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, will showcase harmony and brotherhood while placing Assam’s Bodo cultural heritage on the global map. Nearly 10,000 Bodo artists will perform the traditional Bagurumba dance, highlighting indigenous music, attire and ornaments. The minister said the event, part of the Assam government’s cultural outreach efforts, is expected to attract global attention and boost tourism, with extensive preparations and training conducted across 23 districts. The cultural Minister was talking to media persons today after inspecting the practices of the dance.----------
