New Delhi, 13 January (H.S.): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday quoted a famous Sanskrit shloka from the Kathopanishad, delivering a message of self-awakening, hard work, and unwavering commitment to goals.

In an X post, the Prime Minister shared the shloka: “Uttishthata jāgrata prāpya varān nibodhata. Kshurasya dhārā niśitā duratyayā durgaṁ pathastatkavayo vadanti.”The meaning of this shloka is: Arise, awake, and having reached the wise, attain knowledge. This path is not easy; it is as sharp and difficult to cross as the edge of a razor, but treading this arduous path leads to success and self-realization.

Addressing the youth in particular, the Prime Minister called upon them not to be deterred by challenges but to realize their dreams through hard work, discipline, and persistent effort. He emphasized that the youth's role is most crucial in nation-building, and such inspirational thoughts empower them to move forward.
