Guwahati, 12 January (HS): Assam Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma on Monday paid rich tributes to Swami Vivekananda on his sacred birth anniversary, remembering the legendary monk as one of the nation’s greatest social reformers, thinkers and philosophers.

Highlighting Swami Vivekananda’s enduring influence, the Chief Minister said in his social media massage that his ideals and philosophy have continued to guide every generation of Indians and will remain equally relevant in the future. He described Swami Vivekananda as eternal and timeless, whose thoughts inspire national character and spiritual strength.

Expressing confidence in the younger generation, Dr Sarma said he firmly believes in the capability of the youth to confront and overcome all challenges, drawing inspiration from the teachings and vision of Swami Vivekananda.
