Guwahati, 10 January (HS): The half-yearly district planning meeting of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP), Guwahati Metropolitan Committee was held on Friday, informed on Saturday.

According to a VHP Guwahati office-bearer, the meeting was chaired by Metropolitan President Sabin Rajkhowa. North East Prant General Secretary Brajyoti Sharma attended the meeting as the chief guest.

During the meeting, discussions were held on various outreach and organisational programmes directed by the Prant. Brajyoti Sharma also provided guidance to the committee on strengthening its activities. The induction of new members into the organisation was also noted.

General Secretary Govind Vasudev Goswami announced the newly constituted executive committee and expressed gratitude to all those present. He appealed to people from all sections of society to actively participate in the organisation’s social and cultural initiatives.-------
