
Bijnor, 10 Jan (HS): Viksit Bharat G-Ram-G Yojana has been
made more beneficial by modifying the previous scheme to benefit poor labourers,
women, farmers and unemployed, in which instead of 100 days, now a guarantee of
125 days has been given, while payment within 7 days has also been made
mandatory, otherwise in case of delay in payment, interest will also be given
to the worker.
Giving the above information,
Minister in charge of Bijnor/Minister of State with Independent Charge for
Vocational Education and Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Department,
Kapil Dev Agarwal, in a press conference at Vidur Auditorium in the
Collectorate, said that earlier there was a lot of corruption in this scheme
launched under the name of MNREGA, in view of which now biometric and geo tracking
have also been made mandatory. Earlier, works related to soil and ponds etc.
were done under this scheme, but now labourers will be able to work in
permanent construction as well. He told that 60 days of the crop season have
been kept labour free so that labourers can be made available to the farmers.
The Minister in charge said that
the Prime Minister is constantly striving to make India self-reliant and in one
such effort, the Viksit Bharat G-Ram-G Yojana has been introduced by modifying
MNREGA. He informed that this scheme will be widely publicized in all the
villages of the 11 development blocks of the district so that the needy
workers, women and villagers in all the villages of the district can get the
proper benefits of this scheme.
On
this occasion, BJP District President Bhupendra Singh, District Magistrate Jasjit
Kaur, Superintendent of Police Abhishek Jha, Chief Development Officer Ranvijay
Singh, DC MNREGA RB Yadav, SDM Sadar Ritu Chaudhary, Deputy Collector Harsh
Chawla, State Women Commission member Sangeeta Agarwal and other public
representatives were present with him.
