Lucknow, 10 Jan (HS): The

Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Vocational Education, Skill

Development and Entrepreneurship, Kapil Dev Agarwal, stated that under the

leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the state government is

continuously working towards the goal of Skill to Success - Every Talent

Gets Opportunity and Recognition for the youth. In this regard, departmental

teams are working with full enthusiasm and commitment at the ground level for

the successful conduct of the state level skills competition under the India

Skills Competition 2025, so that the competition is smooth, transparent and

effective from every perspective.

Minister Agarwal informed that

1,09,249 candidates have registered in the state for the India Skills

Competition 2025, which is the highest number in the country. District and

divisional level competitions have been completed. Now, state level

competitions are being organized. This competition is playing an important role

in developing self-confidence, professional competence and leadership skills

among the youth. Excellent performing participants will be honored at the award

distribution ceremony, which will inspire them to do even better in the future.

Skill Development Mission

Director Pulkit Khare informed that the state level skills competition will be

organized on January 12, 13, 19, 20, 22 and 23, 2026, while the award

distribution ceremony will be held on January 24, 2026. The competition is

being organized in a total of 20 skills, including Additive Manufacturing,

Welding, Electronics, Fashion Technology, CNC Milling, CNC Turning, Autobody

Repair, Automobile Technology, Cloud Computing, Cyber Security, ICT Network

Infrastructure, Software Application Development, Web Technology, Beauty

Therapy, Hair Dressing, Electrical Installations, Refrigeration & Air

Conditioning, Plumbing & Heating, Bricklaying, and Health & Social

Care.

He

informed that this competition is being organized in various institutions in

Lucknow, including ITI Aliganj, ITI Mohanlalganj, ITOT, Raymond Center,

Government Polytechnic, ITI Charbagh, Polytechnic (Women), CIPET. In each phase

of the competition, the participants' skill proficiency, innovation, creative

thinking and performance ability are being meticulously and impartially

evaluated.
