Prayagraj,
10 Jan (HS): On Saturday, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath stated
that individuals who profess to defend secularism remain mute on atrocities
against the Hindu minority in Bangladesh. Someone appears to have used Fevicol
to glue their mouths shut. These folks are not conducting candlelight marches
in response to the Bangladesh tragedies. This is also a warning to all of us,
Adityanath stated. He went on to say that secularists are saying nothing.
Addressing the 726th birth anniversary celebrations of Jagadguru
Ramanandacharya Maharaj at the Magh Mela here, Adityanath stated, Our
saint community works to unite the entire society. When the whole
community gets together on one platform and issues a proclamation, it produces
outcomes. For example, the construction of Ayodhya's great Ram Temple.
He stated that this is the outcome of penance and solidarity among venerated
saints, which Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given actual shape to. Many
prime ministers have served since the country's independence, and they have all
considered the country's future growth. However, the idea that India's genuine
essence should be recognized, that Ram Lalla should be enshrined in Ayodhya,
came to Modi, who gave it tangible shape, Adityanath stated.
The chief minister further stated that Modi is the first Prime Minister to
visit the Ram temple and attend all of its festivities, from the foundation
ceremony to the hoisting of the Dharma Dhwaj.
He spoke to the cleanliness of the Ganga River, saying, Here at
Triveni, I am having a divine bathing experience. I, too, came here and began
by taking a bath in the Triveni-Sangam and thanking Mother Ganga. It's really
clear water! Was such clean water accessible eight to ten years ago? Only when
a devotee of Lord Ram and Mother Ganga is in power may such a wonderful chance
present itself. He expressed his thanks to the Ganga River through the Namami
Gange project, saying, Only a true son of Mother India could do this, and
Modi has proven it. Everyone taking a bath here is blessing Modi.
Without mentioning any opposition figures, the chief minister stated that
those who are still attempting to divide you now would never be your
supporters. These are the same individuals that had the potential to hold
positions of authority. When they were in power, their main concern was for
their own family. Their vision did not expand beyond that. He said, When
they are not in power, they raise all sorts of slogans. They will produce an
identity crisis, chaos, an attack on Sanatan Dharma, and rioting to inflict
agony on everybody. We must not allow this to happen again under any
conditions.”
