08 Sept (HS): A complaint has been filed against two youngsters for raising the

Palestinian flag during a Barawafat march here, police reported on Monday. One

of them has been arrested, while the other will be transferred to a juvenile

home. Circle Officer (city) Abhishek Pratap Ajeya stated on Monday that a video

of a Palestine flag being hoisted during a Barawafat parade in the Gursahaiganj

area of district went popular on social media. During the inquiry, the accused

were identified as 20-year-old Shoaib and a 16-year-old youngster.

He

stated that a complaint was filed against the two on Sunday under sections 152

(Act threatening the sovereignty, unity, and integrity of India) and 196(2)

(promoting enmity between various groups on grounds of religion, race, place of

birth, domicile, language, etc.). Committing actions detrimental to the

preservation of harmony in any place of worship or assembly engaged in the

performance of religious worship or religious rituals) of the BNS.

said an inquiry is ongoing to determine where the two obtained the Palestine
