Chennai, 8 September (H.S.): Tamil Nadu Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin has launched a ₹30 crore monsoon preparedness project at the Virugambakkam canal. This initiative aims to enhance the state's flood mitigation measures and ensure better preparedness for the southwest monsoon. The project involves various measures to improve the canal's capacity to handle excess rainwater and reduce the risk of flooding in surrounding areas.
