Guwahati, 08 September (HS): Assam Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma on Monday said that the state government has been implementing multiple initiatives in the Bodoland region with a special focus on the welfare of farmers.
The CM said that steps ranging from small irrigation projects to record levels of paddy procurement have been carried out. He added that the government has also ensured increased paddy coverage, thereby boosting agricultural productivity and farmers’ income.
Sarma stressed that farmers’ welfare remains a top priority for the state and reiterated his government’s commitment to strengthening rural livelihoods through sustained agricultural support.
