Guwahati, 08 September (HS): Actress Nandini Kashyap, who was arrested on July 30 in connection with a hit-and-run case that claimed the life of a 21-year-old polytechnic student Samiul Haque at Kahilipara on July 25, has been granted bail by the Kamrup District and Sessions Court on Monday.

The incident occurred on the night of July 25, when the victim was fatally hit by a speeding car allegedly driven by the actress. Following the case lodged at Dispur Police Station, Kashyap was taken into judicial custody after her arrest.

Her bail applications had earlier been rejected by the Gauhati High Court, before she was finally granted relief by the Sessions Court today.
