Chennai, 7 September (H.S.) : Tamil Nadu Congress MP Sasikanth Senthil has filed a criminal defamation case against Karnataka BJP MLA Janardhan Reddy. The case stems from Reddy's alleged remarks linking Senthil to the Dharmasthala case. Senthil claims these remarks are defamatory and part of a politically motivated attempt to tarnish his reputation.
The controversy revolves around allegations of bodies being buried in Dharmasthala, with some reports suggesting signs of sexual assault. A Special Investigation Team (SIT) has been formed to investigate these charges. Senthil denies any involvement in the case and asserts that Reddy's allegations are baseless.
The court has taken cognizance of Senthil's complaint and summoned Reddy to appear and explain his remarks. Senthil's legal action underscores his determination to protect his reputation and seek justice for the alleged defamation.
