(HS): On Sunday, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated the program of
distribution of appointment letters to 1510 instructors of various selected trades
of vocational education in the final results declared by the Uttar Pradesh
Subordinate Services Selection Commission, Lucknow in the year 2025, in the
auditorium located at Lok Bhavan. On this occasion, grand programs were also
organized in all the districts of the state, where MPs and MLAs witnessed the
realization of the dreams of the youth by giving appointment letters to the
successful candidates.
The result of the
remaining 341 posts will also be declared soon: State Minister of State
(Independent Charge) for Vocational Education, Skill Development and
Entrepreneurship Kapil Dev Aggarwal said that 1736 programs have also been
organized in the state through employment fairs, in which more than 4.13 lakh
youth have got job opportunities in 2537 companies. To increase the training
capacity, 92 businesses are operating in 286 government industrial training
institutes of the state, in which 1,84,280 seats are available. 7768 instructor
posts are approved in these institutes, out of which 6577 are regular and 1191
are outsourced. In the year 2022, the recruitment process for 2406 vacant posts
was started through the Subordinate Services Selection Commission, under which
1510 instructors have been selected. The result of the remaining 341 posts is
also likely to be declared soon. In this way, a total of 1851 selected
instructors will be received by the department, which will ensure quality
training in government ITI.
Skill training to
approximately 1.84 lakh youths in 82 trades: In the last eight years, the state
government has established and started operating more than 60 new Government
ITI's. Currently, skill training is being provided to approximately 1.84 lakh
youths in 82 trades through 324 Government ITI's. A monthly fee of only Rs 40
has been fixed so that the financial condition of any interested youth does not
become a hindrance in the training. Along with this, training is available on 6
lakh seats in approximately 3000 private ITI's of the state. The youth taking
admission here are also being given the facility of fee reimbursement and
scholarship.
More than 900
posts filled through outsourcing: To strengthen the government ITI, the
government has appointed qualified candidates on more than 150 vacant posts of
principals and 1510 vacant posts of instructors. Apart from this, more than 900
posts have been filled through outsourcing. ITI is being upgraded to train
youth in future technologies like semiconductor technology, electric vehicle,
laser cutting, CNC, 3D printing, digital communication etc.
Nine new trades
and 23 short term courses started: In this direction, 150 ITI's were upgraded
in the first phase with the help of Tata Technologies Ltd. and 18 world class
companies, under which 9 new trades and 23 short term courses have been
started. About Rs 5000 crore has been spent on this project and more than 15
thousand youth are being trained every year. In view of its success, approval
has been given to upgrade 62 other ITI's, on which Rs 3350 crore will be spent.
Training of 14
lakh youth through Skill Development Mission: Uttar Pradesh Skill Development
Mission is active to provide free skill training to every interested youth of
the state near his home. In the last eight years, more than 14 lakh youth have
been trained through this mission, out of which 5.65 lakh have been linked to
employment. Currently, more than 350 courses are being conducted with the
cooperation of more than 1000 training partners. Under the mission, the system
of flexi training partners has been started to directly connect the industries.
So far, 33 industrial units have been linked and a target has been set to
contract 5 new units from each district.
Consideration on
Foreign Worker Skill Training and Employment Scheme: In order to provide
employment abroad to the youth of the state, consideration is being given to
start “Foreign Worker Skill Training and Employment Scheme”. Apart from this,
under the Pradhan Mantri Vishwakarma Yojana, skill training has been provided
to 1.20 lakh traditional artisans and interest-free loan of Rs 1 lakh has been
given to eligible beneficiaries.
