Sept (HS): After refusing her forced marriage, a 20-year-old lady was allegedly
murdered by her father in a case of suspected honor killing. Gayyur, the father, reported the incident and
was arrested. The victim's corpse is being examined after death, and
investigations are ongoing. A lady was
allegedly strangled by her father in a terrible instance of suspected honor
killing after refusing a planned marriage to a guy she did not want, according
to officials on Sunday. According to
police claims, Gayyur, the accused offender, handed himself up on Saturday and
confessed to the murder. Circle Officer Siddharth K Misra revealed that the
48-year-old father has been charged with murder and is now in custody.
Meanwhile, the victim's body has been submitted for a postmortem exam.
According to locals, the deceased had a chosen suitor, but her parents had set
up a match with someone else.
