Bhubaneswar, 7 September (H.S.): Biju Janata Dal (BJD) President and Leader of the Opposition Naveen Patnaik has embarked on a four-day visit to New Delhi, sparking political speculation ahead of the Vice-Presidential election scheduled for September 9.

According to party sources, the primary agenda of Patnaik’s visit is to consult with BJD’s Rajya Sabha members regarding the party’s stance in the upcoming election. While the BJD has not made its position clear.

With seven seats in the Rajya Sabha, the BJD holds a significant influence in the Vice-Presidential election, making its decision closely watched by political observers.
