Sribhumi (Assam), 06 September (HS): A 12-hour shutdown was observed in Sribhumi (formerly Karimganj) on Saturday, called by the Citizens’ Committee opposing the renaming of Karimganj district to Sribhumi, with support from Left parties and Congress.
