Relief camps were promptly established in vulnerable regions such as Mayur Vihar, although some of these centers experienced flooding as well.
Public Advisory Issued Urging Caution and Avoidance of River Activities
District officials humbly urge residents to exercise utmost caution by remaining away from the Yamuna River and refraining from swimming, boating, or any recreational activities, due to ongoing safety risks. The Old Railway Bridge continues to serve as the primary flood-forecasting station and remains under close monitoring.
Ongoing Relief and Rehabilitation Efforts
Efforts are steadfastly underway to manage relief and rehabilitation for those displaced, with thousands relocated to temporary tents and permanent shelters. Authorities emphasize that despite the partial receding of floodwaters, the risk remains significant, and the public is encouraged to stay vigilant and heed official advisories.
