Bhubaneswar, 5 September (H.S.): On the birth anniversary of former President and eminent educationist, Bharat Ratna Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, which is observed as Teachers’ Day, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan paid his respectful tributes and extended heartfelt greetings to all teachers.

Pradhan said that teachers are not confined to classroom teaching alone, but are torchbearers who guide society, instill values in life, and dispel ignorance by lighting the lamp of knowledge.

He further emphasized that teachers give us the vision to think, the art of living, and a sense of responsibility towards the nation. On this occasion, the Minister called upon everyone to express gratitude to their teachers and resolve to imbibe their ideals in daily life.
