Bhubaneswar, 3 September (H.S.): In a significant push towards digital governance, the Odisha government has made mobile-based biometric attendance mandatory for all employees of the Department of Social Security and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (SSEPD), effective September 1, 2025.

The directive, issued by SSEPD Secretary Tapan Kumar Dalai, has been circulated to all District Social Security Officers (DSSOs) with instructions to ensure immediate implementation of the system across districts.

As per the circular, the attendance data recorded through the mobile app will be the sole basis for salary disbursement beginning next month. “All employees of this Department must give their attendance using this mobile app w.e.f. 01.09.2025 and salaries from next month shall be released based on the absentee statement fetched from the app,” the order stated.

To facilitate smooth adoption of the system, the department has designated Binit Bikash Mohapatra (+91-708841904) as the nodal officer for resolving technical issues or login/logout difficulties faced by employees while using the app.
