Bhubaneswar, 3 September (H.S.): The Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Government of India, through the Central Bureau of Communication (CBC), Regional Office, and Press Information Bureau (PIB), Bhubaneswar, jointly organised a workshop on “Rajbhasha Hindi and Poshan Maah” on Wednesday.
The programme was chaired by Akhil Kumar Mishra, Additional Director General of PIB and CBC. Eminent guests included Dr. Snehalata Das, Assistant Professor, Rama Devi Women’s University; Swayamprabha Mohanty, Special Secretary, Department of Women and Child Development; and Kirti Singh, Assistant Director, Department of Official Language, along with several government officials, staff members, and media representatives.
The event aimed at promoting the use of Rajbhasha Hindi in official work while simultaneously raising social awareness on nutrition under the Poshan Maah initiative. Experts highlighted the importance of Hindi in governance, its role in effective communication with citizens, and the need to prioritise nutrition awareness for holistic development.
In his address, ADG Mishra said Hindi is not merely a medium of communication but also a symbol of the country’s social and cultural unity. He stressed that presenting government schemes, projects, and awareness campaigns in Hindi along with local languages makes them more accessible to the public. He further added that the Ministry of I&B is committed to ensuring linguistic inclusivity in all its programmes.
