03 Sept (HS): Christ Church College, Hazratganj, Lucknow, has welcomed its

new Principal, Enosh Anshuman Chhatri, who officially assumed charge recently.

His appointment was made by the Managing Committee of the Christ Church

McConaghy School Society, under the Church of North India (CNI), Lucknow

Diocese. Chhatri was unanimously recommended for the post by the Selection

Committee during an interview held on September 1, 2025. Acting on this

recommendation, the Managing Committee approved his appointment. The Selection

Committee comprised Bishop Maurice Edgar Dan, Dr. Vinita Eusebius, Sanjeet Lal,

Sanjay Mal, and Evan Frank Bux. Following the formal announcement, a special

prayer service was held, graced by Chairman Bishop Dan, Vice Chairman Roshan

Lal, Secretary Praveen Massey, Treasurer Arun Paul, LDTA Secretary Rockwell

Amar Moses, along with several senior diocesan officials and principals of

leading institutions from the city. On this occasion, the contribution and

leadership of the outgoing Principal, Rakesh Kumar Chhatri, were also warmly

acknowledged.

Enosh

Anshuman Chhatri previously served as Principal of St. Thomas School, Gonda,

and brings with him extensive experience in academic administration and

educational leadership.

While

a few voices have raised concerns over perceived family associations in the

appointment, the college administration and diocesan officials have emphasized

that the entire process was transparent and merit-based. Expressing his

gratitude, Chhatri stated that he is dedicated to upholding the college’s

academic traditions and will work tirelessly for the holistic development of

students.
