Bhubaneswar, 3 September (H.S.): The Department of Odia Language, Literature and Culture has invited applications for the 35th State Film Awards-2023 and the 36th State Film Awards-2024. Interested producers can submit entry forms along with the required documents and a soft copy of the film (pen drive) to the department by October 4, 2025, through registered post, speed post, or parcel, the department said in a press release.

According to the notification, films submitted for the 35th State Film Awards-2023 must have obtained a Censor Certificate between January 1, 2023, and December 31, 2023. Similarly, films for the 36th State Film Awards-2024 must be certified between January 1, 2024, and December 31, 2024.

In addition, an award will also be conferred for the best book or monograph written in Odia or English on Odia cinema. Authors wishing to apply must submit their applications along with ten copies of the book/monograph by October 4, 2025, via registered post, speed post, or parcel.
