Bhubaneswar, 25 September (H.S.): As part of the nationwide Swachhata Hi Seva (SHS) campaign, a mass cleanliness drive “Ek Din Ek Ghanta Ek Saath” was successfully conducted today at the premises of Kharabela Bhawan.
The initiative witnessed enthusiastic participation of all officers and staff from the Housing & Urban Development Department and the Commerce & Transport Department, led by Smt. Usha Padhee, Principal Secretary, H&UD , Commerce &Transport Department.
During the drive, the teams carried out extensive cleaning of the office premises and adjoining areas, reaffirming their collective resolve towards a cleaner workplace and environment.
Speaking on the occasion, Smt. Usha Padhee said “Cleanliness is not just an activity but a responsibility we all must embrace in our daily lives. Through initiatives like Ek Din Ek Ghanta Ek Saath, we are reinforcing the values of collective action and citizen responsibility that lie at the heart of the Swachh Bharat Mission.”
At the end of the programme, Smt. Padhee administered the Swachhata Pledge to all participants, urging them to carry forward the spirit of cleanliness into their communities and homes.
The campaign echoed the true spirit of “Ek Din Ek Ghanta Ek Saath”—a call to action that motivates every citizen to dedicate time towards keeping their surroundings clean and contributing to a Swachh Bharat, Swasth Bharat.
