TET 2022 candidates protest in Barasat

North 24 Parganas, 24 September (H.S.): On Wednesday, the day the 2023 TET results were to be released, successful candidates from the 2022 TET held a massive protest in Barasat. The situation became even more tense when the candidates surrounded the vehicles of TMC MP Saugata Roy and Panihati MLA Nirmal Ghosh and protested.

The candidates alleged that State Education Minister Bratya Basu had promised a few weeks ago that the recruitment notification would be issued soon. However, even after 15 days, nothing has happened. In protest, the candidates marched from Barasat station on Wednesday and staged a sit-in protest on Jessore Road, blocking the road for about an hour.

Due to the protests, the vehicles of MP Saugata Roy and MLA Nirmal Ghosh were also stranded for about 20-25 minutes. The candidates demanded their immediate appointment.

Meanwhile, the release of the TET 2023 results was also announced on Wednesday. This news brought joy to millions of candidates after a long wait. According to reports, the results will be available on the official website of the West Bengal Board of Primary Education after 4 p.m.

Over 300,000 candidates participated in this examination, held in December last year. The delay in results was primarily due to a legal dispute regarding OBC reservations. After the dispute was resolved, the results are finally being released.

Candidates will be able to view their results by entering their roll number and required details. The board may also send notifications via SMS or email.
