New Delhi, September 24 (HS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi will embark on a daylong visit to Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan on Thursday, September 25, to inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of an array of mega development projects worth more than ₹1.22 lakh crore. The visit underscores the government’s continued focus on infrastructure, clean energy, industrial growth, agriculture, and employment generation.

At 9:30 AM, the Prime Minister will inaugurate the Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show 2025 (UPITS-2025) at Greater Noida in Gautam Buddha Nagar district.

Later, at around 1:45 PM, he will address a public gathering in Banswara, Rajasthan, after laying foundation stones and inaugurating multiple projects spanning power, transport, irrigation, health, and employment sectors.

PM in Uttar Pradesh:

Global Trade PushThe Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show-2025, themed “Ultimate Sourcing Begins Here”, will showcase the state’s traditional crafts, emerging industries, and robust MSME ecosystem. With over 2,400 exhibitors and more than 5 lakh visitors expected, the event will position Uttar Pradesh as a major sourcing hub for both domestic and global buyers.

Significantly, Russia is participating as the partner country, adding strategic weight to the trade show by opening avenues for technology exchange and bilateral cooperation.

PM in Rajasthan:

At Banswara, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone for landmark projects across sectors:

Nuclear Energy:

PM Modi will inaugurate the Mahi Banswara Rajasthan Atomic Power Project worth around ₹42,000 crore. With four indigenous 700 MW Pressurized Heavy Water Reactors, this will be among India’s largest nuclear plants, designed and developed by NPCIL under the “fleet mode” initiative.

Clean Energy: Projects worth ₹19,210 crore, including solar parks and green energy corridors across Rajasthan, will be launched. This includes solar projects in Phalodi, Jaisalmer, Jalore, Sikar, and Bikaner, alongside a solar park in Andhra Pradesh.

Transmission Infrastructure: Three transmission projects worth over ₹13,180 crore will be rolled out under the Renewable Energy Zone initiative, enabling the transfer of 15.5 GW of renewable power across several states.

PM-KUSUM:

Solarization of 3,517 MW of agricultural feeders worth over ₹16,050 crore across Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, and Karnataka to lower irrigation costs for lakhs of farmers.

Water Resources: Projects collectively valued at ₹20,830 crore, including the Mor Sagar reservoir in Ajmer, feeder works from Chittorgarh, and rejuvenation of the Khari feeder, will bolster irrigation and water security.

Drinking Water Projects: Initiatives worth ₹5,880 crore under AMRUT 2.0 to provide clean drinking water in districts including Banswara, Churu, Udaipur, Dungarpur, Ajmer, and Bhilwara.

Infrastructure, Rail and Social Development

Roads: Prime Minister Modi will lay the foundation stone for 116 Atal Pragati Path projects, bridges, and flyovers, in addition to inaugurating highway works worth over ₹2,630 crore to boost connectivity across Rajasthan.

Healthcare & Civic Amenities: A new 250-bed RBM hospital in Bharatpur, an IT Development & E-Governance Centre in Jaipur, and new sewerage systems in Makrana, Mandawa, and Jhunjhunu will be unveiled.

Rail Connectivity: Three new trains – Bikaner–Delhi Cantt Vande Bharat Express, Jodhpur–Delhi Cantt Vande Bharat Express, and Udaipur City–Chandigarh Express – will be flagged off to improve regional connectivity with Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, and Chandigarh.

Employment: The Prime Minister will distribute more than 15,000 appointment letters to newly recruited youth in government departments, covering posts such as animal attendants, junior assistants, instructors, engineers, and teachers.

The Cabinet highlighted that the projects reflect India’s twin mission of Aatmanirbhar Bharat (self-reliant India) and sustainable development, combining clean energy, employment generation, and strong infrastructure growth.
