Prayagraj,
24 Sept (HS): The Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Prayagraj, successfully organized a
five-day training program on Mushroom Production Techniques for the
benefit of farmers. Farmers and rural youth from various villages participated
enthusiastically in this training program. During the training, Training
Coordinator Dr. R.P. Singh provided detailed information on oyster mushroom and
button mushroom production techniques. Participants received hands-on training
on the entire mushroom production process – from seed selection, food medium
preparation, production techniques, pest management, packaging, and marketing.
At
the conclusion of the program, Dr. Mukesh P. Masih, the center's in-charge,
stated that mushroom production is a profitable and employment-oriented
agricultural enterprise, one that farmers can adopt to significantly increase
their income. Participants also pledged to apply the knowledge gained from this
training to their farms and turn it into a source of additional income. This
type of training is an important step towards making rural youth and farmers
self-reliant.
