24 Sept (HS): Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandi Ben Patel conducted a surprise

inspection of the Sindhikheda Government Children's Home (Girls) located in the

Para area on Wednesday. She also inaugurated a beauty parlor training center

opened in the institute. During this, the Governor had a cordial conversation

with the girls living in the girls' home and talked about their studies, daily

routine, life's dreams, and future aspirations. The Governor has asked all the

universities of the state to adopt girls' homes and provide active support in

their development.

Motivating

the girls, she said that they should study diligently, learn new skills and

take special care of their health. She also inspired them to learn cooking,

sewing, yoga and other useful skills. The Governor inspected the cleanliness,

kitchen, toilet, enrollment process, tuition and teaching method, counseling,

vegetable arrangement, yoga, study time-table, sewing center and other

facilities in the girls' home. She directed that regular health checkups of the

girls should be done and especially hemoglobin test should be done

compulsorily.

She

directed all concerned officials to train the girls in all essential life

skills. She said that these girls should be inspired and encouraged to become

self-reliant so that they can live their lives successfully and with dignity. She

also directed the institute to establish a proper timetable and ensure its

adherence.

The

Governor urged all universities in the state to adopt such girls' homes and

actively support their development. She directed that the girls be trained in

computers, cooking, reading, sewing, beauty parlor training, and other

vocational activities. She also inspected the library and encouraged the girls

to study there regularly. The Governor observed and appreciated the useful

handmade items made by the girls. She encouraged the girls to learn the art of

mehndi.

She

instructed the institute's director to maintain constant contact with the girls

even after they leave the institute and to monitor their progress in life.

Inspecting the computer lab, she directed that necessary chairs be arranged

there.

The

Governor directed officials to provide fresh and nutritious food to the girls

and to connect them with online education. She urged the girls to learn cooking

themselves once a week, as this skill is essential for self-reliance in life.

The

Governor inspired the girls to move ahead with confidence and directed the

officials to provide quality education, skill development training and better

facilities for their overall development. During the inspection, she he also

directed to increase the number of toilets in the institute and said that the

Raj Bhavan will bear its expenses. The Governor also interacted with the

teachers giving tuition and teaching work and the cooks preparing food in the

girls' home and took information about the working procedure. On this occasion,

officials of the Women Welfare Department, officials of the district

administration, officials and employees working in the girls' home and other

dignitaries were present.
