Assam Govt extends Puja grant to 7,817 committees
Guwahati (Assam), 24 September (HS): Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma announced that the state government has provided financial grants of ₹10,000 each to 7,817 Durga Puja committees across the state to support the festive celebrations.

Guwahati (Assam), 24 September (HS): Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma announced that the state government has provided financial grants of ₹10,000 each to 7,817 Durga Puja committees across the state to support the festive celebrations.

The amount has already been handed over to the respective Deputy Commissioners for disbursement. This initiative, continuing from previous years, is aimed at ensuring smooth and vibrant Durga Puja festivities throughout Assam.
