New Delhi, Sept 10 (HS): Gold prices in the domestic bullion market surged to an unprecedented level on Tuesday, with 22-carat gold breaching the ₹1 lakh per 10-gram mark for the first time. Meanwhile, 24-carat gold soared past the ₹1.10 lakh per 10-gram level, touching a historic peak. In contrast, silver prices remained unchanged.
According to market data, gold registered a sharp rise of ₹1,960 to ₹2,140 per 10 grams during the day. As a result, 24-carat gold was quoted between ₹1,10,510 and ₹1,10,660 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold traded in the range of ₹1,01,300 to ₹1,01,450 per 10 grams.

In southern and eastern markets as well, gold saw upward momentum. In Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Bhubaneswar, 24-carat gold traded at ₹1,10,510 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold was priced at ₹1,01,300 per 10 grams.
Meanwhile, silver prices saw no change, with the metal continuing to trade at ₹1,30,000 per kilogram in the Delhi bullion market.
