New Delhi, August 9(HS): On the occasion of Raksha Bandhan, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Droupadi Murmu on Saturday extended their warm wishes to citizens across India and abroad.

In a brief message on X, PM Modi said, “Best wishes on the special occasion of Raksha Bandhan.” President Murmu also took to the platform, writing, On the auspicious occasion of Raksha Bandhan, I extend my warm greetings and best wishes to all fellow citizens living in India and abroad.

The festival, celebrating the bond of protection and affection between brothers and sisters, is being observed nationwide with traditional rituals and joyous gatherings.
