Bulawayo, August 9(HS): New Zealand delivered a record-breaking performance, defeating Zimbabwe by an innings and 359 runs in the second Test to claim a 2-0 series win within just three days.
After dismissing Zimbabwe for 125 in the first innings, New Zealand piled on 601/3 declared, thanks to centuries from Devon Conway (153), Henry Nicholls (150*) and Rachin Ravindra (165*). The hosts managed only 117 in their second outing.
Debutant pacer Zachary Faulker starred with 7 wickets for 59 runs in the match, including a five-wicket haul in the second innings. This win stands as New Zealand’s largest in Test history and the third-biggest worldwide by an innings margin.
