New Delhi, August 9(HS): To ease festive season travel and reduce crowding, Indian Railways will roll out a special Round Trip Package for Festival Rush from August 14. Passengers booking onward and return journeys together will receive 20% off on the base fare of the return ticket.

The scheme applies only to fully confirmed tickets with matching passenger details. Outbound journeys must be between October 13–26, and return journeys between November 17–December 1. There will be no Advance Reservation Period restriction for the return ticket.

Bookings must be made entirely online or entirely at reservation counters—no mixing of platforms allowed. Tickets under this offer cannot be cancelled, modified, or refunded. The discount is valid across all train classes except flexi fare trains.
