New Delhi, August 9(HS): Continuous heavy downpour has drenched Delhi and the National Capital Region (NCR) on Saturday, the day of Raksha Bandhan, causing waterlogging in several areas. The intense rains followed a similar spell on Friday night that affected most parts of Delhi and NCR.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) had predicted thunderstorms with heavy rainfall over Delhi on Saturday and issued a red alert to warn residents and authorities of potentially severe weather conditions.
The persistent rains are disrupting normal life and raising concerns over traffic and public safety as water accumulates in low-lying localities.
Residents are advised to stay updated with weather alerts and take necessary precautions during this spell of intense rain.
