Bangalore, 09 August (H.S.) :

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will arrive in Bengaluru tomorrow, 10 August, to inaugurate two major projects related to the expansion of the city's transport infrastructure and lay the foundation stone for another project.

The Prime Minister will arrive at HAL Airport at 10:30 am. From there, he will hop by a chopper to the Mekhri Circle Helipad and then reach KSR Bengaluru Railway Station by road. He will flag off the Bengaluru-Belgaum Vande Bharat train at 11:10 am, while on the same occasion, he will also virtually flag off the Amritsar-Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra and Ajni-Pune routes.

He will then travel by road to Ragigudda Metro Station and dedicate our Metro Yellow Line (RV Road-Bommasandra) to the nation. The Prime Minister himself will travel by the Metro train up to Electronics City on this 19.15-km-long, 16-station line, built at a cost of ₹5,056.99 crore.

He will lay the foundation stone for the Metro Phase III Orange Line (44.65 km, costing ₹15,611 crore) at a ceremony to be held at the IIIT Bangalore auditorium at 01 pm. He will then leave for New Delhi from HAL Airport at 2.40 pm.

Bengaluru Police have appealed to commuters to use alternative routes as there is a possibility of traffic congestion at Hosur Road, Silk Board Junction and Electronics City Junction in the wake of the inauguration of the Namma Metro Yellow Line.
