Delhi, 4 August (H.S.): Congress MP Sudha Ramakrishnan reported that her gold chain was snatched during a morning walk in Delhi. The incident occurred near the Polish Embassy in Chanakyapuri while she was accompanied by DMK's Rajathi.

Ramakrishnan described the assailant as a man wearing a full helmet on a scooter who approached them from the opposite direction around 6:15 am to 6:20 am. She recounted that, due to the perpetrator's slow approach, she did not suspect any wrongdoing until he snatched her chain, causing injuries to her neck and tearing her churidar. Both lawmakers called for help, and they later reported the incident to a Delhi Police mobile patrol vehicle nearby.

In a letter to Union Home Minister Amit Shah, she expressed her shock at being attacked in such a high-security area, emphasizing that if a woman can't walk safely in Chanakyapuri, it raises concerns about safety elsewhere in the capital. She also requested that the authorities make an effort to track down the assailant, restore her stolen chain, and ensure justice is served.

Ramakrishnan indicated that she felt traumatized by the attack, highlighting both the physical injuries and the emotional distress it caused her.
